Turmeric Porridge with Banana

Bananen Kurkuma Porridge

Porridge is like a warm hug for those who like the simple things in life. We have interpreted this classic to make a particularly delicious and nutritious dish. With nut milk, bananas, berries and turmeric, our banana and turmeric porridge will inspire all those who like an express breakfast!

Ingredients for 2 portions of banana and turmeric porridge:

  • 50 g rolled oats
  • 220 ml nut milk (unsweetened)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • Handful of raspberries
  • Handful of blackberries
  • 1 tbsp coconut flakes
  • Some fresh mint

Preparation time: approx. 15 minutes

Method for preparing this crunchy breakfast:

Place the rolled oats, nut milk and maple syrup in a saucepan and slowly bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat and continue to simmer gently for another 5 minutes.

While the porridge is cooking, peel the bananas and cut them into slices roughly the thickness of your finger. Heat the olive oil in a pan, fry the bananas over a medium to high heat until both sides are golden brown.

Mix the turmeric into the porridge and divide between the bowls. Arrange the fried bananas, raspberries and blackberries on top, garnish with coconut flakes and mint.
