Recipes for energy: green smoothies

Energy Rezepte_Grüne Smoothies

We love it green – and for good reason. Everyone’s talking about green smoothies these days and they are the perfect choice in three respects – they are tasty, healthy and quick to make.

Smoothies: green vegetables and fresh fruit

Green smoothies are based – logically enough – on green vegetables! Chlorophyll is provided by all the familiar salad leaves and various types of cabbage, but herbs and the green leaves from carrots or kohlrabi can also be added to the blender. The chlorophyll is supplemented by fresh fruit and liquid, ideally water.

Green smoothies are an impressive option, bursting with minerals, fibre, vitamins and, above all, phytochemicals like chlorophyll, which gives smoothies their fresh green colour. Smoothies are therefore the ideal supplement for a healthy and balanced diet as they supply the body with many important micronutrients and nutrients.
